July 2009 - LeGrand VanGass

LeGrand has long earned his right to the Hall of Fame. LeGrand is one of the most dynamic people in the Hall. First of all LeGrand has spent much of his life diversifying his talents. He has the ability to out wrestle any animal on the planet. Only recently has he suffered an injury during a wrestling match with a mountain lion which bit off a couple fingers. LeGrand still stood victorious against the mountain lion and has yet to be dethroned from his title. Some of the animals he has out wrestled includes an Elephant, a Grizzly Bear, a Whale, a Water Buffalo, an Ape, a Flying Squirrel, a Giraffe, a Comodo Dragon, and a Condor.

Part of LeGrand's accomplishments have come from his frugality. He once was able to trade some pocket lint for eventually a ranch in Alaska. This was done by trading his lint for something a little bit better and kept going until alas the ranch in Alaska was obtained. His gracious attitude allows for many visitors to stay free at his ranch year round.

Throughout his life endeavors LeGrand has found a way to becoming the flip that house champion. He is the foremost knowledgeable person in the world on flipping a house. He has written seven books on the subject including his latest titled "Flipping That Flipping House." This book talks about flipping a house during the hard economic times we are currently in.

LeGrand also fulfilled a short career in Street Car Racing. He quickly rose to the top but cut his career short due to high blood pressure caused from driving. LeGrand is also the king of nicknames as he can come up with a name for anyone in no time and amazingly makes sense yet nobody has ever thought of it before. This talent is truly one of his underrated skills.

November 2008 - Brent Parker

Brent Parker is the newest member of the Hall of Fame. Brent has accomplished much throughout his life and has definitely earned a spot in The Hall of Fame. In third grade Brent Became the Kick Ball Champion and had his name engraved into the schools cornerstone. Legends of his four home runs in one game to beat the fifth graders still roam the halls of his Elementary school.

Brents love of communication devices began at a young age as he tinkered around with technology. Brent became Ham Radio Certified at the age of 4 and talked to a Korean on his Ham Radio at age 3. Brent later became the foremost expert in VOIP technologies as he came up with a breakthrough in the VIOP protocol that was stalling the technology from emerging.
Brent has also become an expert in medical knowledge and spent one year volunteering as a Medical Doctor in Swaziland, Africa. In Swaziland Brent was able to cure 4000 patients back to complete health. After his tour of Swaziland, Brent returned to his true love of woodwork. Since that time he has made thousands of priceless furniture items and wooden gifts that scatter the world.

Brent has also enjoyed many years of his life as a deep sea diver. He has discovered over 13,000 new species that live in the ocean including the Lantern Fish. Deap Sea Diving has allowed Brent to discover a world that most people can never imagine. His discoveries as a deep sea diver are still being analyzed by the brightest scientists known to man.

October 2008 - Jordan Gridley

Jordan Gridley is the youngest of all of my Hall of Fame members. Jordan in his young age has taken off in his unlimited talents. Jordan has set many world records. Some of his records include being the youngest person in the world to circumnavigate the globe by foot. You would think it would be impossible but Jordan is a natural hiker and never stops also being light enough that he can walk on water. He also holds the world record for the longest oooooooooooooh which lasted 9 hours, 6 minutes and 33 seconds.

There are a few key interests in which Jordan has already had his eye on for improving. Some of these things include Hot Rods, motorcycles, and blankets. No doubt these things will be revolutionized when Jordan enters his teenage years. Jordan has started many clubs for kids by kids. He started a speed walking club for mini speed walkers in which only children 4 or younger may join. He is also the vice president of the young cartoon advisers club in which the club routinely publishes reviews on cartoons which the major networks all pay close attention to. Jordan is also one of the worlds strongest person under five. He recently competed in the worlds strongest kid competition and was able to lift his entire body weight, pull a door off its hinges, and throw a bowling ball 9 yards.

Jordan has also been involved in many community projects to better mankind. Jordan has started the Buddy System Renewal Project (BSRP). Jordan has traveled around the state of Utah giving talks about the buddy system and how it will help save lives. Due to these speeches over 60,000 buddies have been assigned for walking kids to and home from school. Thousands of lives have been saved over the last two years alone from the BSRP.

Congratulations Jordan for being inducted into the Hall of Fame. You will surely be followed by the paparazzi for the rest of your life.

September 2008 - Joe Gridley

We now live in great and terrible times. Great times because they are not terrible, and terrible times because they are not great. There is fear of a pandemic flu. There is Fear of a recession. There is American consumerism like never before. There are people trying to get fit using a Nintendo Wii. There are people getting hotter from Global Warming. And Last but not least I have a hall of fame. But today, yes, today is a new day. A new day because Joe Gridley has been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Joe's greatest achievment happened when he discovered the ultimate renewable energy resource which he calls "Cocoa Blast." With this new energy mankind will be saved from itself. Joe's discoveries of new energies and scientific knowledge has come through years of experience. Joe has also earned many accolaides from his musical talents. At a young age of three he composed his first peice of music to which was later bought by Nintendo and put into it's theme game Super Mario Brothers. Since then Joe has composed over 146 original video game music peices and won three Grammy's for his work. Joe has since retired from the video game music composition profession to focus all of his time on dating. He is now in the middle of writing his first book called "I'm Almost Done Dating As a Single." He also has plans for other titles such as "To Date or Not To Date", "Coma's Are More Comfortable Than Dating", and "Dating Doesn't Get Any Better Than That."

Joe is also a regular guy who likes complex math algorithms and sometimes wears pocket protectors in front of the mirror to help him realize his potential. Joe also has the ability to keep words from dissapearing from the English language. Joe has prevented 9 English words from becoming extinct. Joe now resides in Provo, Utah and can be seen from time to time wandering the halls of BYU. Joe has also become a philanthropist to the elderly and can often be found helping elderly people make phone calls. He demands no recognition for this or any of his accomplishments.

Now Congradulations Joe and add one more item to your resume, because you have been inducted into The Hall of Fame.

August 2008 - Jeremy "Stache" Davis

Jeremy Davis is now a member of the Hall of fame and as such will be honored by many and revered by even more. I have known Jeremy for 7 years and have learned much about his amazing life. Jeremy Davis has had tales of amazing feats. One of his earliest feats was when he first passed his hunters safety by the age of 3 and in the same day caught a 14 pound trout with his bare hands. The trout at the time was half of his own body weight. Jeremy began to learn the arts of the outdoors and became a mountain man the summer between his sixth grade and seventh grade years. While he was a mountain man he lived off the land.

Later in life Jeremy became one of the most famous cooks to ever grace the Fishlake lodge in Fishlake National Forest. Jeremy later found the worlds largest Elk which is now on display at the Washington DC Smithsonian. Jeremy has also learned throughout his years and experience the art of relationships and is now the Western United States foremost knowledgeable individual on dating and marriage. He has published three books on the subject and just wants to help others learn the hard work that dating and marriage needs.

Jeremy is also the first single to have been recorded to attend the Richfield 14th singles ward and have a mustache at the same time which coincidentally helped earn his nickname "The Stache". Congradualations Jeremy! You are now in my Hall of Fame.

July 2008 - Salina, Utah

Congratulation Salina, Utah for being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Salina consists of 6.2 square miles and sits at an elevation of 5,161 ft. As it was my home town growing up, Salina was the place where many of my young adventures took place. Like many good things, Salina has been known for good and bad. Rumors exist that the Gadianton robbers spirits still haunt Salina canyon and as such no faithful saint should put up their home in Salina. This rumor has clearly been circulated by those who wished they could have lived in Salina and has no truth to it at all. Salina is the home of at least two car washes, the famous Moms Cafe, North Sevier High School, the Blackhawk Arena, and of course Main Street.

Just over two thousand people are lucky enough to still call Zion, er, I mean Salina, home. Salina has it's own canyon and holds claim to the only true documented history of Annie Bangs being raised by wolves where third graders go camping in the canyon every year to find Annie Bangs still living with the wolves. It is also home to the famous Milkshake Slaveman Statue that has turned into a native american. Salina's schools also belong to the only school district in the nation to serve milk in bags rather than cartons for school lunches.

June 2008 - Joseph Peterson

Joseph Peterson has now been inducted into the Ben Hall of Fame. This honor has been brought to Joseph because of his skills, talents, business sense, and athletic ability. Joseph started his musical ability at a young age winning the battle of the bands in Heber City at the age of 3 playing lead guitar. His band won the contest because of Josephs sweet picking on an electric guitar solo playing Hotel California. Joseph also started the craze that is now known as air guitar. Due to the current nature of air guitar groupies Joseph has long since left this sport, but legends of his abilities are still among the air guitar lore. Josephs musical abilities has lead to his eventual number one album "Absarracca Rock!" This album lead the charts for an amazing 16 months.

Josephs business savvy abilities has made him the Warren Buffet of vending machines. He now owns 64% of the worlds vending machines. His number one and two selling items are tick-tacks and mentos which sell in some of his vending machines for over 4 dollars each. His vending business venture has produced enough income to move into other business arenas and he has since become the founder of a martial art training video company specializing in nun-chucks called "Chuck This Out LLC". From his training videos Joseph has been the lead instructor in all but three. Joseph also had a great desire to serve and protect and joined the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police). During his tenure with the Canadian Mounty Joseph was able to bring to justice 329 perpetrators. Joseph was a Canadian Mounty until his horse bacame too old to keep up with the crime. The horse (Princess) was then watched over by Hannah Peterson until it lived a long life and passed away peacefully.

Josephs athletic abilities had brought him to the top of the X-Games in 1997. He was the young new challenger and defeated everyone of his opponents until he met Tony Hawk in the 1997 X Games World Championship Finals. Joseph has since retired from professional skateboarding, but it is rumored that he can been seen skating in Cheyenne Wyoming's public skate park from time to time. Joseph has been a professional in more things than any other human being. He has been a professional at one point in his life in the following areas: musician, skateboarder, martial artist, air guitarist, video gamer, rope climber, under water basket weaver, knife thrower, lizard trainer for the blind, drag racer, trapeze artist, chef, and an RCMP.

May 2008 - Trestin Meacham

Trestin Meacham has been inducted into the Ben Hall of Fame. Trestin has made a great impact on many others throughout his life. He in fact inspired the Ben Hall of fame to come into existence. He has throughout his life showed exemplary skills in many different areas of world interest. Trestin grew up in Monroe, Utah and claims it to be the center of the Universe and hopes secretly that one day it will become the home of an NFL franchise. His pride in his home town shows his devotion to the things he loves. Trestin routinely runs all the way to the top of Monroe Mountain ascending to the top which reaches over 11,000 feet in elevation. This round trip is around 24 miles. During the early life of Trestin at age 2 he sent a letter dictated to his grandfather in 1980 to Bill Walsh outlining how to perfect the West Coast Offense. The rest is history and that letter turned Bill Walsh into the greatest NFL coach to ever live. Trestin was later used by the 49er's as a scout receiving information from him weekly. Soon after Steve Young left the 49er's the organization stopped listening to the advice of Trestin and the 49er's began to decline in there winning ways.

During Trestin's High School days he petitioned the government to have Wyoming return the corner of Utah back to Utah and nearly succeeded. Trestin has also has had a great influence in fashion where he sported a cape in Texas causing the entire state of Texas to wear capes which coincidentally lead to the cape shortage of 98. Trestin also tried his skills as an inventor where he owns patents in hymn books that contain jelly doughnuts, burst proof snack packs, pants that hover, and a fireproof stick of butter. Trestin now serves in the Navy and is preparing to be sent off shores to defend his Country and Monroe, Utah.

April 2008 - Rex Gridley

Rex Gridley is the newest member of the Ben Hall of Fame. Rex has been inducted into the Hall for his many accomplishments throughout his life. At the age of 1 Rex began reading the business section of the newspaper in particular the stock section. He then created a stock selection program by the age of 5 that has made millions of people in the United States wealthy. Rex has also been known to keep meticulous financial records and still lurking deep in his filing cabinet is a financial ledger from when he was 8 years old containing record of a 20 cent candy bar purchase.

Baseball was a love in the life of Rex and was offered a full scholarship to BYU for his hitting and first base skills. He was later drafted in the 3rd round of the draft by the Atlanta Braves and then suffered an injury the next day breaking his neck in a car accident where he narrowly escaped death. In 1991 Rex became the West Jordan Heritage Stake MVP by hitting 61 HomeRuns during the regular softball season and ended up taking the 6th ward all the way to the LDS World Championship Softball game and finished the game hitting for the cycle in the final game to win 18 - 13.

In 1996 Rex was summoned by the Post Master General to Washington DC and Chicago on a top secret mission to single handedly save the Post Office from utter destruction. In what was thought to originally be a 4 year mission through the super efficiencies of Rex he was able to finish the mission in only 6 months.

March 2008 - Bruce Weber

Bruce Weber is the latest to be inducted into Ben's Hall of Fame. He has been inducted due to his many accomplishments in his life. Bruce was born the same year many American's celebrated the bicentennial of the Declaration of Independence. Because of this Bruce was able to memorize the Pledge of Allegiance in his first year of life.

Sports accomplishments came plentifully in Bruce's life. One of his greatest sports accomplishments came in 2005 when he coached Illinois to an appearance in the championship game of the NCAA tournament. While coaching at Illinois he was able to coach future NBA star Derron Williams of the Utah Jazz. Earlier in his sports career Bruce's athletic talents transfered over to the Rugby field where he helped the Wigan Warriors, based in Wigan, Greater Manchester England, to a rugby championship in 1995 by scoring three goals in the final 1:39 to come back from behind. Bruce was then declared the Greatest American Rugby Player in history.

Along with sports photography became a love of Bruce Weber. He became a professional photographer for National Geographic. His National Geographic duties took him all over the world from Santa's secret snow caves in the North pole to the islands off of Mexico where the oompa-loompas dwell. Due to a life or death situation in which Bruce was the only photographer to survive the wildfire of Montana in 1998, he retired from photography and subsequently won the International Photographer of the Year for taking the picture to the right. After retiring from photography Bruce became a lumberjack to help pay his way through school to become a chiropractor. Bruce would use the very wood he cut down for the floors he installed in peoples homes on the side. He soon became the Nations most knowledgeable Walnut, Maple, and Oak specialist.

Bruce has since settled down in Cheyenne with his wife and five children to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a chiropractor. After moving to Cheyenne, Bruce was quickly called to be Bishop all while developing his new found talents of Genealogy, train set building, and frisby golf.

February 2008 - Hannah Peterson

After many reviews of who will be the first person to be inducted into the Ben Hall of Fame the lucky person has been selected. Hannah Peterson has rightfully been inducted into the Hall in celebration of her birthday. Hannah has accomplished many things in her young life. At the age of two she was selected to the All Midway Figure Skating team. She later developed her talents in Figure Skating to represent the United States in the 2002 Winter Olympic games where she won the gold medal. Although winning the medal she honored her beliefs and elected not to accept the gold medal as the award ceremony was held on Sunday.

Figure skating is not the only thing Hannah has excelled at in her life. She has also been placed in AP-Seminary where she is in the top of her seminary class. Driving automobiles also came early on in Hannah's childhood where she now is licensed to drive for the second time in her life. She is currently working with Colgate to sponsor her as the new driver of the Colgate car in NASCAR. With the fame that has come in her life she has also decided to stay in the public schools of Cheyenne, WY. This has shown that with fame she keeps a down to Earth attitude.

Hannah is also currently working on her autobiography entitled "Still Can't Date" Her book is to debut within her lifetime. These many accomplishments will continue throughout her life as she has set her standards high and goals far.

Ben's Hall of Fame Begins

I have decided to start a hall of fame. Ben's Hall of Fame is a special honor and to be a part of this special Hall will have a deep impact on those who enter. This Hall has very few rules for entry.

1. Only one member may enter The Hall each month and must be voted on by Ben.
2. Nominations can be sent in the form of emails, phone calls, posted comments, or even on another blog.
3. Not all nominations will be considered, read, or listened to.
4. Members can be inducted into the Hall of Fame any day of the month.
5. All rules are subject to change by Ben at any time.

Thats it just five simple rules. I hope to have the first member of Ben's Hall of Fame inducted this month.
